Enquiry
Tell us what you want to build and where. We'll confirm whether your project is exempt, eligible for a CDC, or requires a DA—at no cost.
Lodgement
We prepare and lodge your CDC application using your plans and builder's specifications. For most projects, you provide the documents—we handle the rest.
Approval & Build
Your CDC is issued so your builder can begin. For pools and spas, we also arrange your pool barrier compliance inspection after construction.

No.1 Building Services provides fast, unrestricted certification across the following regions. Explore our interactive coverage map.
It depends on the size, height, and location of the structure. Under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008, some small structures are exempt from any approval. Others require a CDC or council DA. We confirm which category applies to your specific project at no cost.
We check your site's zoning and CDC eligibility, confirm Sydney Water clearances, review your pool plans, and lodge your CDC. Once construction is complete, we inspect the pool barrier for compliance with the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and register the pool with the NSW Swimming Pool Register.
For new pool construction, the CDC is typically issued within five to seven business days. The pool barrier compliance inspection is conducted after construction is complete - usually within two to three business days of booking.
For existing pools, we inspect the barrier against the applicable version of the standard. If it does not comply, we issue a detailed non-compliance notice specifying exactly what needs to be rectified - no guesswork, no vague instructions.
Yes. We can engage directly with your builder or contractor on your behalf. Many pool and shed builders use us routinely and can manage the CDC process as part of their service.
